Infidelity Crisis & Recovery Retreat: A Private, Intensive Experience for Couples Facing Betrayal
Scheduled on Request
Cost: A budget will be developed with the couple. You should expect the cost to be around $4000
This is a private retreat scheduled over 4 days in Arizona.
Discovering infidelity can create one of the most destabilizing crises a couple will ever experience. Questions, intrusive thoughts, intense emotions, uncertainty about what is true, and fear about the future can quickly overwhelm both partners. Traditional weekly counseling can be helpful, but during an infidelity crisis, couples sometimes need more time, structure, and support than a single therapy hour can provide.
The Infidelity Crisis & Recovery Retreat is a private, multi-day therapeutic experience designed specifically for one couple and their therapist. Rather than offering a predetermined path toward reconciliation, the retreat creates concentrated time to understand the impact of the betrayal, stabilize the immediate crisis, address questions and disclosure, begin rebuilding emotional safety, and determine what healing needs to look like for both partners and the relationship.
Throughout the retreat, couples move between assessment, therapist-facilitated conversations, education, and meaningful experiences together. We will examine the impact of the infidelity, the history and vulnerabilities surrounding the relationship, intrusive thoughts and rumination, disclosure, trust, and the magnitude of the betrayed partner's pain. Depending upon the couple's needs and readiness, the retreat may also include a facilitated disclosure process or therapist-coached dialogues around the conversations necessary for healing.
But recovery from infidelity requires more than understanding what happened. Couples will practice communication and emotional-regulation strategies, identify specific behaviors necessary for rebuilding trust, and explore vulnerabilities within each partner, the relationship, and the circumstances surrounding them. Intentional evening experiences also provide opportunities to step outside of crisis-focused conversations and begin experiencing moments of presence and connection together.
The final phase of the retreat focuses on what happens next. Couples will identify priorities, establish concrete goals, develop practices for maintaining communication and connection, and assess their progress over the course of the retreat. The goal is not to promise that a relationship will be repaired in a few days. It is to help couples move from crisis and uncertainty toward greater clarity, safety, understanding, and a meaningful direction for the work ahead.
